Detective work can be described as applied science. No detectives aren’t publishing their findings for peer review, but the must stand up to evidentiary scrutiny as established by law. Paranormal field work may actually be closer to detective work than actual scientific field research. With field research the observable phenomena is still more ongoing. While actual investigations may be closer to a detective investigating a crime, especially of the phenomena is not on going. This type of investigation would revolve around interviews, witness statements, forensic investigation, and logic. The technology used to gain environmental data may be less useful than good old fashioned “gumshoe” work. This class will give you a basic understanding of the investigative process that requires little to no devices. Become your own PI (Paranormal Investigator) and remember…just the facts. |
