About Peter Renn & Jason Hewlett

Peter Renn is a Canadian paranormal investigator, researcher, inventor, educator, and international speaker with nearly 30 years of investigative experience and more than 16 years dedicated to the paranormal field. Originally from Croydon, Surrey, England, Peter has investigated throughout Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and other locations around the world, researching hauntings, spirit communication, UFOs/UAPs, Bigfoot and cryptid encounters, and other unexplained phenomena. A former Director within the TAPS Family (The Atlantic Paranormal Society), Peter has worked alongside investigators from a wide range of backgrounds while promoting professional investigative standards. He also serves as a case documentation investigator for an ordained exorcist in Washington State, specializing in the collection, organization, and preservation of investigative evidence and case records. As the founder of Ghost Gear Store, Peter designs and manufactures custom paranormal investigation equipment used by investigators worldwide. His presentations focus on practical field techniques, evidence preservation, and professional documentation, encouraging investigators to approach every case with an open mind, critical thinking, and a commitment to credible research. Peter is passionate about helping raise the standards of paranormal investigation through education, innovation, and decades of hands-on field experience. Jason Hewlett is a paranormal investigator, researcher, author, filmmaker, and speaker from British Columbia, Canada. With years of experience investigating hauntings, cryptids, UFOs, and unexplained phenomena, he has become a respected voice in paranormal research and storytelling. Jason is the co-founder of the Canadian Paranormal Society alongside Peter Renn and the co-creator, writer, and director of the award-winning web series We Want to Believe, which explores real investigations and the mysteries behind paranormal claims. Jason is the author of five books, including The Legend of Ogopogo: Canada's Loch Ness Monster and Heart of Ice: Tracking the Wendigo, published by Small Town Monsters Publishing. He has also co-authored I Want to Believe: One Man's Journey into the Paranormal, I Want to Believe: An Investigators' Archive, and Dying Light: An Investigation into Near Death Experiences with Peter Renn. In addition to his writing, Jason has appeared in and directed several acclaimed Small Town Monsters documentaries, including Tracking the Wendigo, Sasquatch Legacy, and On the Trail of Bigfoot, continuing his work to document and share the mysteries of the unexplained with audiences around the world.
