I enjoy learning new skills and working with all types of media. I love to experiment and see the outcome. I have so many ideas to bring to light! I have a design/print background. The majority of my design work has been computer based for print, freelance or an employer. From a young age I loved being creative and knew I would always need to be hands on doing projects. I watched my grandmother oil paint all throughout my childhood. Being a busy mom of 4 all these years I haven't had the time to be as artistic as I would have liked. While being at home during the pandemic, I was inspired to do something other then binge watch TV. In April 2021 I decided to paint my first rock, after finding one on a walk. It turned out okay. However with practice my skills grew. I'm so proud of the progress I've made. I lived for painting every day. I had fun, it challenged me, and I enjoyed it. In 2022 I thought Macarema looked interesting and I would give that a go as well. While each new skill tests my abilities to thrive and adapt. This one I would say really tried my patience as I am not a wasteful person. I spent many times unnotting the cord because I had misstep. Now I have the confidence that I can create lovely masterpieces and cute little handmade pieces. My latest endeavor would be epoxy resign, In January of 2023 I decided that resin looks fun and it would be a great idea. Oh boy was I wrong!!!! This was the biggest test of it all. It is also my main focus of art now. Resin Is not easy, it takes a lot of work, and patience. You mostly learn by trial and error. I love it, and have so much fun with it. I am glad that I gave myself the oppurtiny to try this form or art. I always say that my art is unique one of a kind and imperfectly perfect. I try my best to get it perfect, I will always do my best to test my skills and techniques and get better. I have seen how much I have grown as an artist and cannot wait to see where it leads me in the future.
