Based in Sacramento and serving communities across Northern California, Nor-CAPS is a volunteer society dedicated to the study, documentation, and thoughtful discussion of paranormal activity. Our mission is simple: approach every case with curiosity, compassion, and rigor, pursuing natural explanations first and preserving only what remains genuinely unexplained. Who we are Nor-CAPS is built around a core team of dedicated investigators and researchers who contribute diverse skills—from audio and video analysis to historical research and environmental monitoring. We are an amateur society in the best sense of the word: we do this work out of passion, not for profit. Many of our members join because they are fascinated by the unknown, committed to critical thinking, and eager to help neighbors find clarity.
