The science of Parapsychology (also known as Psychical Research) has been studying cases and experiences of apparitions, hauntings, poltergeists since the 2nd half of the 1800s as part of the spectrum of psychic phenomena and experiences. Yet with rare exception, the paranormal reality shows and many ghost hunters have ignored the field, thinking it has nothing to do with "the paranormal." In this session, parapsychologist & paranormal investigator Loyd Auerbach will cover just what Parapsychology is, the major part of the field that considers evidence for Survival of Bodily Death, how ESP and PsychoKinesis (PK, mind over matter) relate to apparitions, hauntings, and poltergeists, and how and why parapsychological investigations of the paranormal differ from typical ghost investigations (especially what you see on TV). Auerbach will also provide suggestions about how and where to best connect with Parapsychology resources and information and make your investigations more fruitful.

In addition to purchasing individual tickets to classes, tours or events, you will also need to purchase a General Admission Ticket.

General Admission Tickets are $20 and are good for the entire weekend. General Admission Passes can be purchased through our Online Box Office or at the Oregon Ghost Conference Box Office at the Seaside Civic and Convention Center: Friday, March 22nd-Sunday, March24th.

General Admission tickets are good for admission to the Vendors Area and all Main Stage Speaker presentations for all three days of the Oregon Ghost Conference.

Sunday Only General Admission Tickets are $10 and can only be purchased in person at the  Oregon Ghost Conference Box Office at the Seaside Civic and Convention Center, Sunday, March 24th ONLY.
